Shaler Area Football Alumni at Waynesburg University

Shaler Area Football Alumni & Waynesburg University

Waynesburg safety Bryan Gary was a first-team selection on the All-Presidents' Athletic Conference.

Gary is a Pre-Season All-American and to many one of the premier players in the conference.

TE Mike Ferraro will again be an integral part of the Waynesburg offense.  Ferraro has seen considerable action the last few years and will again be counted on by Head Coach Rick Shepas.

Waynesburg begin Spring Ball April 1 and will continue through the month of April.  The Yellow Jackets will be at the top of their conference again this year and Coach Shepas has the team preparing this Spring for a run in the fall at the NCAA D-III playoffs.

Coach Siegle and Coach Anzevino visited spring practice Friday evening at the Yellow Jackets facility.

We wish Bryan and Mike as well as Coach Shepas and the entire team and staff  the best in 2013.  A great example of Shaler Area Alumni making a difference and leading their teams.

  1. Bryan Gary is a 3 year starter and 3 time 1st Team All PAC Safety for the Yellow Jackets. Bryan has also earned ECAC and All America honors the last 2 seasons. Bryan will enter the 2013 season as a pre-season All America candidate and again be an instramental leader of our team. In 23 years of coaching, I have never coached a more passionate player!! he is an explosive big game player.

Mike Ferraro has also been a big game player for us as an inside receiver. He is credited with the game winning TD against 6th ranked Thomas More 2 years ago. Mike has been an outstanding player for us and gives 100% effort anytime he is on the field. Mike is a complete player and does equally well as a blocker also. He will play his biggest role as a senior this season as he returns for his senior campain as a 2 year starter. We expect big things from Mike in 2013!!
